Christian Apologetics

"The system worked…We want to fix that problem."

Confused yet?  Homeland Security measures worked yesterday, only to be a problem that needs fixing today, at least according to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.  In other words, she, likes so many in the Homeland Security Office, doesn't have a clue about what really took place on Northwest Flight 253.

Oh, she knows some Nigerian (forget that he was a Muslim terrorist, and that his own father tried to warn Federal authorities about his Islamic ideology which fueled his terroristic actions) got on a plane and tried to turn it into wreckage over Detroit.  Beyond that, she's like the proverbial deer in the headlights: totally blind to reality.

First of all, since our government is now bending over backwards to appease groups like CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) and the Muslim Brotherhood to subordinate the U.S. Constitution beneath Shari'a Law, the security system to protect Americans from thugs like Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, Nidal Hassan, Hosam Smadi, Najibullah Zazi, Ramy Zamzam is a joke.  Not only should none of these characters ever been afforded the opportunity to step on a plane or a military base to pull the stunts that they did.  None of them, including CAIR, the ISNA, the ICNA, IIIT, MSA, Muslim Brotherhood of America, or any of the rest of them should even be allowed in this country.

Second, to be saying that there is a problem that needs to be fixed is a monumental understatement.  Persons such as Janet Napolitano should be fired, and individuals such as North Carolina senator Larry Shaw should be tried and put in prison for conspiring with the enemy, namely CAIR.  Moreover, every mosque in the United States should be placed under 24/7 electronic surveillance, and the imams and their congregations who object should be immediately deported to their favorite Muslim land where they can live out their dreams of being a real Islamist without any U.S. Constitutional hindrance.

Third, every Muslim should be profiled, and if caught breaking the law—even if it's spitting on the sidewalk—should be deported or executed, depending on the level of offense.  If deported that Muslim should be given the strict order "Don't ever come back!  You're no longer welcome here!"  If executed, then the rest of the Muslim community can thank Allah for the infidel sending the criminal (not martyr) to his reward.  At least the rest of humanity won't have to be concerned about him wreaking senseless havoc in this world anymore.

Some might say, why are you picking on the Muslims?  Let me ask in return, what was Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was Nidal Malik Hassans' religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was Hosam Smadi's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was David Coleman Headley's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was Tahawwur Husain Rana's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was Tarek Mehanna's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was Najibullah Zazi's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was Daniel P. Boyd's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  What was Ramy Zamzam's religious affiliation?  Muslim.  These are just some of the terrorist idiots that acted in conformity with real, genuine Islamic beliefs in 2009, to either maim or kill Americans.

The list itself is actually quite a bit longer that those reported by name in the news.  And when one adds names like Dritan Duka, Shain Duka, Eljvir Duka, Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer, Serdar Tatar and Agron Abdullahu, Daniel Maldonado, Kevin James, and Jose Padilla, going back to 2002, then to be asking a question like "why are you picking on the Muslims," borders on stupidity of what is going on around them.  There is not only probable cause that the next act of terrorism will come at the hands of those in the Muslim community, failure to profile the same community, and then act justly and swiftly, is to sign one's own death warrant at the hands of these fine, wonderful, upstanding, law-abiding, "peaceful" Muslims.

Yes, the system worked, alright.  It exposed a major weakness in ideological thought.  In fact, it worked so well that it almost brought down another airliner.  Whether we choose to really fix the problem is another thing.  Frankly, until Americans have had enough of the Janet Napolitano's doublespeak, as well as the Barak Obama's that put her into office, then nothing is going to change.  And because of American unwillingness to do anything truly substantive, Muslim terrorist attacks are rising exponentially.  Don't be surprised to see or hear of another major attack on or around New Year's Day.  After all, no one should be focused solely on New Year's festivities and bowl games without a little mayhem and grief mixed in as well.  That is, at least according to the militant Muslim way of thinking and those in our government blindly protecting it.

Another Christian Terrorist Tries to Blow Up Plane

Well, just when a person is not watching, another Christian has lashed out against the United States by attempting to blow up an inbound plane near Detroit.  Abdul Farouk Abdulmuttalib was apparently an engineering student in Britain, and had managed to smuggle some explosives onboard, which he in turn ignited by mixing chemicals.  After a few "pops" that sounded like firecrackers, he was subdued by another passenger, and is now at an area hospital where he is being treated for second-degree burns.

One has to wonder when government authorities will finally wake up and realize the threat these Christians are.  Hardly a day goes by where one of them is not in the news carrying out some kind of heinous act against humanity.  Why, if they're not flying planes into buildings, they're trying to blow them up in the air.  And if they're not training abroad to kill American soldiers in Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan, then they train at home, and kill American soldiers on a our military bases.

Of course, Abdul Farouk Abdulmuttalib was not a Christian, and Christians are not planning and plotting the demise of the West.  Abdulmuttalib is a Muslim who follows the tenets of Islam, which encourages terror and violence to subdue the infidel.  One may rest assure, though, that nothing is going to be said about his Muslim ties.  Oh, he was a terrorist—at least so says the government—and al-Qaeda might garner some blame.  But, forget the fact that al-Qaeda is a Muslim terrorist group, and that since 9/11 over 9,000 acts of terrorism have been perpetrated by Muslims.  That way we can keep on fooling ourselves as to which ideology is the real contributor to terrorism, and then do nothing substantively about it.

"What can we do?"

A concerned friend, after reading one of my blog entries involving the subversion of America by militant Islam, asked me a very important question: What can we do?  Instead of tackling the question by way of a short response, I thought it was important enough to do a completely separate blog entry, and see if there is a solution to the mess we're in as a country.

First of all, from a biblical perspective, the question "What can we do?" is similar to one that King David asked when he saw wickedness abounding in his day.  He asked, "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" (Ps. 11:3).  Two things are worth noting from his question.  First, the practice of righteousness requires a solid foundation.  Second, only the righteous can do anything to restore order to an otherwise chaotic situation.  Nevertheless, lets take these one at a time and expound upon them.

The practice of doing what is right requires a solid foundation.  Doing what is right implies moral and ethical decision-making.  Not only must the moral and ethical foundation be beyond mere human opinion, it must be reliable and stable under all conditions.  It must be trustworthy and authoritative.  At one time America had such a foundation.  It was called the Bible, for that is what she was built upon.  Although there was no national church or religion, nor was there ever the intent to build one, still those who wrote our Constitution and Bill of Rights were indebted to the Bible's principles as the only way to ensure life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

That foundation, though, with the advent of Enlightenment and Postmodern thought, has since deteriorated, at least in the hearts many now claiming to be both Christians and Americans.  What we're seeing today in the forms of corrupt government, financial irresponsibility, political correctness, religious and cultural diversity, dumbed-down education (at all levels), an overindulging preoccupation with entertainment, and on, and on, and on, are the outgrowths of those advents and deterioration.  Many of us are dying from within, and we either don't know it, nor we don't care.  That foundational attitude must change if things are going to get any better.

Second, only the righteous can do what is necessary to right a nation.  But, who are the righteous?  They are those whom God has redeemed and justified by His grace.  They uphold the biblical foundation as the only objective standard by which a nation can survive when the enemies of liberty come knocking at its door.  Our Founding Fathers understood this, which is why so many of them were avowed Christians.  Of course, there are going to be the naysayers, mockers, and critics who will object to such an assertion.  They want to rewrite history and secularize it to the point where God is excluded from the conversation.  Our Founding Fathers are re-visioned as atheists and agnostics as worst, and irreverent deists at best, all of which is pure non-sense.  Perhaps the best way to silence such critics is to simply ask them what their objective standard is to today's problems, and then sit back and listen to the crickets chirp.  For despite all their arrogant bravado and revisionism, when push comes to shove, the critics of Christian America and its founders end up being nothing more than the contributors to the problems, and not the solution makers.

Does this mean that non-Christians and non-Christian religious ideologies cannot contribute to the righteousness of righting a nation?  They may contribute, but for true righteousness to reign, their contributions must garner biblical support, otherwise before long, that nation will be experiencing the very thing America is seeing today: corruption and confusion run amok.  Is that pointing a finger at certain groups and ideas as the root causes of today's American meltdown?  Yes.  Christians for not doing what is right are as responsible for America's problems as those non-Christians who argued for a better path, the latter of which was rife with self-serving, self-centered subjectivism that only led to self-destruction, and ultimately the destruction of America.

Therefore, what can we do?  As far as President Obama is concerned, there is nothing that Christians can do except to pray for him.  Although that may sound trite, it is (1) biblical, and (2) the only thing that can be done, since the foundations for doing what is right are tenuous at best.  In fact, America has gone so long in engaging in anti-intellectual thought when it comes to its Christian identity, with many Christians and organizations all but isolating themselves from the rest of society, and another lot so caught up in emotively-inspired practices and self-help seminars, that it may be decades in the making before America is ready to claim that she is a Christian nation again.  We're that far gone at this time.

Oh, it's not that we're not seeing some righteous indignation on the part of "Christians" taking place at these so-called "Tea Parties" and the like, but I would venture to guess that that they, like so many knee-jerk reactions are more about stirring the emotions, than about substantive thought about one's spiritual convictions.  It is the same emotional mentality which led to the placing of Obama in the Whitehouse in the first place.  And now many of those same people think that by having another emotional rally they're going to stop the tide from washing them away?  I don't think so.  Just look at what Congress is doing with the health care legislation.

Does that sound bleak?  hopeless?  dire?  Absolutely.  But, it is reality.  Until the biblical foundations are restored, there is nothing the righteous can do.  It is going to take work.  It is going to take thought.  It is going to take sweat, just like when a foundation is being poured for a new house.  Nevertheless, it must be done to erect a lasting structure.  Without it the nation is attempting to build a society upon shifting sand.  And when the storms come and the tides rise, that society is destroyed, due to its lack of something solid to stand upon.

Finally, if the righteous are the only ones with a solution for the reconstructing of the foundation to answer the problems facing the country, yet they continue to fail to do anything substantive to build that foundation and correct those problems, then one may rest assure that the unrighteous will eventually lead the nation to its destruction.  What we're now seeing is the culmination of years of touchy-feely subjectivism that has been part of  "Christian" America.  The worst is yet to come, if the righteous don't get with the program and build.

The ICNA comes to the aid of terrorists

The enemies of liberty are back at this morning.  In an article by EaseNew, ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America) has come out with a statement saying how worried the parents are of the Muslim terrorist thugs who went overseas to garner training to learn how to better kill American soldiers.  Moreover, the ICNA terrorist organization has vowed to fight negative propaganda to protect these thugs.

According to the article, ICNA representative Essam Talaveh is reported to have said that these thugs were known of "good character."  Good character?  Since when does a person who absconds into the night, unbeknownst to his parents and friends, to seek terrorist training on how to commit murder, with the overall express purpose of undermining the United States, is also a person of "good character"?  It would seem to me that that kind of person is not one of good character, but a brainwashed character, at best, if not a character unbecoming of U.S. citizen.

Talaveh continued his spin by saying, "…no body had expected them to have been linked to terror activities while their families are seriously worried about their security and safety."  Really?  You mean to say that terrorist activities and the persons who perpetrate them are above board, open, and honest about their objectives, plans, and training on how to murder people?  Did someone tell the 9/11 terrorists this, or even Nidal Hassan?  Maybe those murderers missed the message somewhere along the line during their training, which said that when you commit an act of terror, make sure that those you're perpetrating the act against expects it.  Perhaps if they would have, then over 3,000 innocent people in New York and 19 people in Killeen, Texas would have had their lives spared, along with literally thousands who have been effected because they were not expecting to be suddenly brutalized by these idiots.

The fact is, it is irrelevant what anyone else expected.  These college-aged terrorists got caught carrying out what was in their hearts.  And because they got caught, no one needs to be coddling them as if they were little children stealing candy.  They need to be treated as the murderous subversives that they are.  They need to be brought to trial, and as I've already mentioned, executed for treason if they're found guilty.  Bad people need to be rewarded for their badness, and in this case, traitors get the death penalty.  And if guys like Talaveh don't like it, then they need to pack their bags and go find themselves a sand dune in southern Arabia where we won't have to put up with their diabolical whining.

Moreover, Mr. Talaveh now needs to be investigated for his role in facilitating terrorism.  If he wants to persist in churning out false propaganda, and undermining the legal system so as to protect terrorists, then he needs to be put on trial, and if convicted, executed, along with the rest of the terrorists.  Again, if he doesn't like it, then I'm sure there are 1,001 places in the world where his deviousness is welcome, for it surely is not welcome in the United States.

Finally, Talaveh reportedly told a gullible media, "…Muslims are a peace loving nation and linking it with act [sic] of terrorism and violence is nothing but a conspiracy theory."  In reality, Muslims are not a nation at all.  They're a people subjected to a false religious ideology, some of them by force, that was propagated by a false prophet, who when he could not convince those in his day of his self-exalted prophet status, vengefully set out to subject people to his capricious whims, whether by a smooth tongue or sharp sword.

The history and spread of Islam is checkered with one violent event after another.  And what we're seeing today is the culmination of centuries of violence, which is encouraged in the Qur'an and the Hadiths, and the Muslim who is unwilling to engage in violent Jihad against the infidel is not a Muslim at all.  He is a "radical."  He is an "extremist."  It is the Muslim, like these terrorist college students who went over to Pakistan, willing to engage in violent Jihad, that is the true Muslim.  He is the one following the mandates of Muhammad.  It's not the one willing to kill his neighbor, and live according to the Constitution and laws of the land.

So, Mr. Talaveh is lying to the media by asserting just how wonderful and "peace loving" the religion of Islam truly is.   Yet, what else is new?  These MB front groups and their exponents are all about lying.  Islam's theology is vacuous; it's tenets are oppressive; it's goals only bring suppression of individual freedom.  There is nothing beneficent about Islam, and those dumb enough to believe what the Talaveh's are saying about it are slowly signing their own death warrant.

Lets execute these Muslim traitors for treason

A person really has to love CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations.  You know, the Public Relations arm of the Muslim Brotherhood established for the specific purposes of intimidating those who don't say nice things about Islam, as well as dupe the secular media into believing that Islam itself is all about peace.

In a Washington Post article Sunday, December 20th, CAIR is now trying to prompt the FBI to go easy on the five jihadist students recently arrested in Pakistan, who went there to receive training on how to kill American soldiers.  And who knows, maybe even come home and kill a few American civilians as well.

According to thugmaster Niwah Awad, the national head of CAIR, "Charging them and throwing them in jail is not the solution.  The government has to show some appreciation for the actions of the parents and the community. That will encourage other families to come forward."

Actually, Awad is right to a certain extent.  Throwing them in jail is not the solution, because all they would do in prison is stoke the fires of hatred toward Jews, Christians, and the West, and maybe give a few of the already inmates an even more irrational reason to commit another crime if/when they were released.

So, I say, lets gather all the evidence, put them on trial, and then execute them immediately for treason if they're guilty.  After all, is that not the proper punishment for being a traitor against one's country?
U. S. Constitution: Section 3.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted.
 U.S. Code, Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 115, Section 2381
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
But, you see, CAIR and militant Islam is not about upholding the U.S. Constitution, nor Western Judeo-Christian values.  Back in 1991, when the Muslim Brotherhood was getting its diabolical act together in formulating plans and recruiting idiots to wage jihad against anyone who stood in their way to achieve world domination in the name of Islam, the leader (Mohamed Akram) published a memorandum stating the Brotherhood's, and its front groups (CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MSA, IIIT, et al), objectives.  The fourth "key" to achieving their goals reads as follows:
4–Understanding the role of the Muslim Brother in North America:
The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Process" with all the word means.  The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions.  Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet.  It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack.  But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.
Therefore, since CAIR wants the FBI to exhibit leniency upon the five wannabe terrorists, it doesn't want to uphold the Constitution, and is intimately related to a mother organization with plans to "eliminate" and "sabotage" the United States, then lets add Niwad Awad, Ibrahim "Dougie" Hooper, and the rest of the CAIR subversives to the traitors list, and execute them as well.

By eliminating this particularly viral strain of ideological cancer, a message will be sent to the rest of the Muslim Brotherhood that if you dare send or encourage anyone else to go abroad to kill our soldiers, or if we find out that you're making plans to kill anyone at home, then swift and final judgment will take place, and that without appeal.

Its treasonous murderers will be send to Allah quicker than they can say "Allahu Akbar," and we won't bat an eye while accommodating them.  And if the Muslim community doesn't like it, then it may avail itself the American privilege to leave.  If the Muslim thinks Shari'a Law is so much better, then he can go find himself a country where it's the law of land.  It won't break our hearts.  But, they're not going to continue to engage in the same terroristic activities that these five Muslim college yahoos were recently arrested for, without paying the supreme price for being un-American.

"Got Questions?" Don't Expect a Straight Answer

Just got off the phone speaking with a Muslim representative from the ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America), which is another in a lost list of Muslim Brotherhood front groups that have been set up to destroy Western Culture and the United States as we know it.

The ICNA has recently established a billboard campaign inviting people to call in to ask whatever they would like about Islam.  "Got Questions?  Get Answers," reads the campaign slogan.  So, I thought I would give it a try.

After a few short rings on the line came a young-sounding man of Middle Eastern descent.  I told him that I saw online a story advertising the opportunity to call an 800 number to ask questions about Islam, and he seemed enthusiastic about having the opportunity to share the wonders of his religion.  Apparently he has only been a convert for about four years, so his exuberance was understandable.

Yet, from the beginning I knew that this guy wasn't about to tell me the truth about Islam, nor what his organization is really up to.  Why?  Because the first response to me about the ICNA's association to the Muslim Brotherhood was a lie.

I asked, "In what way is the ICNA associated with the Muslim Brotherhood?"  Simple enough, right?  After a short pause he asked, do you mean the brotherhood that is located in Egypt?  I said, yes, but that it apparently has a branch that operates in the United States as well.

His response was that the ICNA in no way is affiliated with the MB, and that the ICNA is a completely independent group that operates to dispel the falsehoods the media has perpetrated on the public about Islam.  Of course, if one reads the ICNA's website, there is a lot more snow to shovel through which speaks of its other stated benevolences.  But, at least during our little chat, countering bad media vibes was what he thought the ICNA stood for.

The fact is, the Muslim Brotherhood is behind the founding of the ICNA.  During the Holy Land Foundation trial, "An Explanatory Memorandum" was submitted into evidence where the Muslim Brotherhood listed the ICNA as one of the organizations considered to be one "of our friends."  Other "friends" included the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Student Association, the International Institute for Islamic Thought, and the Islamic Information Center.  So, for this guy, who is representing the ICNA, to be telling me that his organization had no ties to the MB was an abject lie.

After getting past that faux pas, I then asked him what the ICNA's position was on the Jewish occupation of Israel.  He told me that the ICNA had no position, since that was purely a political matter, and the ICNA doesn't involve itself in politics.  Again, that was a bald-faced lie as well.  The Muslim Brotherhood, who is behind the ICNA, was a facilitator in the forming of the Holy Land Foundation, which was used to funnel money to the  terrorist group Hamas for the express destruction of the nation of Israel.  Therefore, to be saying that the ICNA has no position on Israeli occupation and existence is to deny that it knew of any of the proceedings at the HLF trial, whereby the HLF was tried and convicted of funding terrorist activities.

My final question for my Islamic operator involved the phrase going around about Islam, which so many in the politically correct circles love stating, but do so without any knowledge of the subject.  I asked, "If Islam is a 'religion of peace,' then why have there been over 9,000 terrorist-related events that have been perpetrated by Muslims since 9/11?"

Of course, there was the usual equivocation by stating that the Jews have their own who have engaged in violence ("just look at Gaza" was his immediate example), as well as Christians.  In other words, he wasn't denying that terror done in name of Islam had not occurred.  He was merely trying to justify it because someone else had allegedly done the same (which is the fallacious argument known as Tu Quoque).

What was particularly interesting in his answer was his claim that the main reason so many Muslims engage in terrorist acts was simply because they don't have a sense of "being" or "belonging."  That they haven't been taught the correct way to think as a Muslim, because really Islam is about peace, not war.

When I brought up to him that Nidal Hassan (the Fort Hood mass-murdering Muslim) was quite educated on the tenets of Islam, as well as those who hijacked the planes during the 9/11 attacks, then all of the sudden the telephone line was disconnected.  My attempt to "Get Answers" was abruptly cut short.

The bottom line is that what the ICNA is doing through this billboard campaign is nothing more than what I recently witnessed at the Muslim Student Association rally that supposedly was to expose Islam.  It is a recruiting tool intended to dupe the public and spread misleading propaganda.  It is part of the overall Islamic plan to subvert America and turn it into a state under Shari'a Law.  Hopefully with the ongoing investigation by the FBI concerning groups like CAIR (which is another front group for the Muslim Brotherhood), all of this subversion will come to a halt.

Otherwise, ladies and gentlemen, better get ready to start wearing your burkas and bowing five times a day toward Mecca.  Because in a Muslim run society, free speech and objections to mistreatment will not be tolerated.  You will "submit" (which is was Islam means, by the way) at the risk of death or dismemberment, and there will be absolutely nothing you'll be able to do about it.

In other words, if you "Got Questions?", you better be asking them now, and asking them of the right people.  For failure to do so will eventually result in the refusal to provide a straight answer, much like what took place today on the phone.

Comparing Apples & The Sword

In our postmodern age of biblical illiteracy it is not uncommon to see Christianity and Christian beliefs marginalized or equated with other religious beliefs, as if all religious beliefs had the same basis for functioning as they do.  How many times have you heard the religiously naive and politically correct state, "All spiritual paths lead to the same source"?  Not only is such a comment patently untrue, it is clearly in opposition to Jesus' statement, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).

When one turns to more serious matters, such as the growing crises that the Muslim world is foisting upon the rest of society, particularly in the forms of killing innocent people in the name of Islam, the naivete and ignorance is exacerbated.  The exception, though, is that those doing the equating this time are not only the biblically illiterate and religiously naive, it is the atheist/agnostic crowd, who think that by exploiting what they think are parallels beliefs and practices, which result in people dying, then their particular brand of inanity will look that much better.

But, a careful examination of the facts will show that not only is there no comparison between Islam and Christianity, there is instead a distinct equation between Islam and Atheism!  Lets look at a couple of examples.
  •  Jesus Christ lived a perfect life.  He was God incarnate, and even admitted as much (Jn 8:58; 10:30; 11:45).  He never harmed a soul, nor did he ever command any of his followers to ever perpetrate an act of violence upon anyone.  In fact, several times throughout Jesus' ministry he was personally attacked and never retaliated.  And the one time that one of Jesus' followers (Peter) took up a sword and cut off a high priest's ear for attempting to arrest Jesus on false charges, Jesus not only healed the high priest, but told Peter, "Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword" (Mt. 26:52).
  • Muhammad, on the other hand, was anything but perfect.  He never claimed to be God incarnate, never performed a miracle, and propagated doctrines about God that, biblically speaking, made him false prophet (Dt. 13:1-3).  Moreover, throughout his short life, Muhammad not only personally murdered people with the sword, he openly condoned such, by ordering his followers to fight, kill, and subdue anyone who would not accept Muhammad's religion of forced submission.  "Fight against those who believe not in Allah…and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued (Qur'an 9:29).  "So, when you meet (in fight—Jihad in Allah's Cause) those who disbelieve, smite (their) necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives)" (47:4).  "o.8.4  There is no indemnity for killing an apostate (O: any expiation, since it is killing someone who deserves to die) (Reliance of the Traveller, 596, which is an authoritative volume on Sharia Law).
  • Christian History.  Critics of Christianity, and religion in general, often like to point to what they consider a long history of bloodshed perpetrated in the name of God.  That because of those who have died at the hands of those claiming to be Christians, that that somehow condemns the whole movement as being nothing better than what Islam, or any other religion, has to offer.
Typically the Old Testament slaughter of pagan elements in Israel's history and the Crusades are cited as "Aha!  See, I told you so," types of examples.  Yet, both examples are fundamentally flawed.  First of all, the sin being openly committed and practiced by the Canaanites at the time the Jews conquered the Promised Land was so heinous, disgusting, and full of debauchery that the only way God's people would be prevented from the taint of that environment was to destroy them.  It is nothing different than when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah or the earth by the flood.  Second, the Crusades were not about Christian oppression of anyone, nor conquering the world.  It was about fighting back against the Muslim onslaught that managed to take not only Jerusalem by force, but much of the Middle East, and the Mediterranean and Southern European worlds.  In fact, by and large the Crusades were a failure.
  • Islamic History.  Muhammad initially started out by petitioning the Quraysh to give up their idols and idolatrous ways, and was laughed at.  He was finally pressured to leave Mecca and reside in Medina, where through a series of treacherous raids he managed to finally build up an army where he could take his own revenge upon the Meccans.  His whole modus operandi, in other words, after he left Mecca the first time changed from preaching peace to preaching conquest by the sword.  And conquer by the sword he did.  Those who dared to get out from underneath his tyrannical thumb met a perilous fate, as the 600-900 Jews did when he personally executed them by beheading after the battle of the trench.  His caliphs who succeeded him were no less treacherous as they marauded their ways across North Africa, the Middle East, and all the way up into France, where they were stopped at the Battle of Tours by Charles Martel.  And given the Qur'an's mandate of conquest by force, we may expect more of the same, until either the world is dominated by Islamic oppression, it is held in check by force or by conversion, or the Lord returns and destroys it.
  •  Atheist Oppression and Murder.  It is no big secret that during the 20th century that atheistic Communism managed to murder more people (75-100 million) than had died in all the Christian wars and conflicts the previous two-thousand years.  What is interesting is that atheistic communism thrives on the same oppressive ideology as does Islam, and that is if one doesn't want to have anything to do with the system, then force is used to subdue the people to comply at the risk of dying.  Of course, both ideologies and their adherents frequently cry "foul" over drawing such a comparison, but the historical and doctrinal records speak for themselves.  In fact, Naziism, despite all its quasi-religious ties, was essentially nothing more than an atheistic system as well.  Therefore, it should come as no big surprise that during Hitler's rampage a prominent Muslim leader, Haj Amin al-Husseini, would meet with Hitler to plot a way to oppress and exterminate the Jews during World War II.
  • The gods of Atheism & Islam. One might be taken aback for a moment at the thought of an atheist acknowledging the existence of a god, much less one on par with the Muslim.  After all, don't Muslims worship the same God as the Jews and Christians?  First of all, the atheist does worship a god.  In fact, depending on the number of atheists in a room will depend on the number of gods that could be worshiped at any given time.  That is because the atheist by denying God's existence must prop himself up as a god to do it.  He must take on all the characteristics and attributes of God in order to positively and completely deny Him.  The atheist may posture and sneer that he has to do any such thing, but simply using a little deductive reasoning makes the conclusion irrefutable.
The Muslim, on the other hand, worships a god, that is not only unlike Yahweh or Jesus, but is so unapproachable as to be unknowable.  Oh, it may have 99 names, and there may be only one of it (at least in theory), but as far as establishing any kind of relationship with it or having any kind of assurance that one has done enough to warrant standing in its presence one day forgiven of one's sins, the Muslim is out of luck.  One might as well be worshiping oneself, for he will never meet this "god."  And since that is the case, the Muslim god no more exists, as a metaphysical reality, than does the atheist's god.
So, is Christianity comparable to Islam?  Only if one ignores the facts about founders, the histories, and where the real comparisons are.  Jesus was nothing like Muhammad, nor was Muhammad anything like Jesus.  Jesus was God in the flesh who came to redeem mankind.  Muhammad merely acted in flesh, as his own little god, to oppress and murder people.  Although Christianity has Old Testament ties through the Jews, and some Christians have been guilty of acting like Peter, in no possible way has biblical Christianity ever sanctioned violence against anybody.  Islam, on the other hand, has been an oppressive and murderous cult from its inception.  Not only does it sanction violence against the unbeliever, it actually rewards such behavior with the only promise of attaining heaven one day if one dies as a martyr in the act of jihad against the infidel (Qur'an 9:111).  Finally, if one is to compare worldviews, one would find more support to compare the ideologies of atheism and Islam, than one will ever find between Christianity and Islam.  For if one compares atheism with Islam, at least then one is comparing apples with apples, rather than apples with the sword, as would be the case if one compared Christianity with Islam.

"Islam Exposed"? How about catered to?

The other evening my students and I had the opportunity to see the Islamic propaganda machine in full action.  At the school where I teach World Religions, the Muslim Student Association had secured an evening where the theme was supposed to be "Islam Exposed."  It was anything but that, however.

Poorly orchestrated, from the sound system to the Question and Answer session, several imams in the area, along with a coterie of converts, got up in front of a mixed crowd and made their evangelistic plea.  "Islam is the only way for a person to experience peace!" proclaimed one 24 year-old Muslim leader.  "This religion has made brothers and sisters out of complete strangers," reasoned a Hispanic convert.  "I never really knew the meaning of life until I became a Muslim," relayed another student.  The meeting had all the makings of a Billy Graham Crusade, except Islam was the religion of choice, Muhammad was the savior, and the invitation to convert was less formal.

One thing that the MSA wasn't expecting, though, was that there would be someone in the crowd who knew something about Islam, had the primary sources with him, namely, the Qur'an, the Hadiths (vol. 4 on Jihad), Reliance of the Traveler (an authoritative volume on Shari'a Law), and Ibn Ishaq's text on The Life of Muhammad, and he had a few challenges to all their clamor and excitement  So, after about an hour-and-fifteen minutes of bombarding the audience with one pitch, and offensive claim, after another, the floor was opened to questions for the main imam.  I immediately arose, thanked them for allowing us to ask questions and then proceeded to throw a monkey wrench in the whole meeting with a little bit of reality.

First, I expressed my dissatisfaction over the MSA advertising the event as "Exposing Islam," when it was no such thing.  That it was more designed to garner converts, and naive, gullible ones at that.  Second, I asked the imam that if exposure was really what the meeting was about, then why had not anyone "exposed" Muhammad for his treachery and murder in the past?  Muslim historian, Ibn Ishaq, recorded Muhammad's all-too-willingness to personally behead between 600 and 900 Jewish Quraysh tribesmen who didn't want to be under Muhammad's oppressive rule.  Why wasn't anything mentioned about that?

Taken aback, the imam proceeded to sidestep the observation, as well as the question.  In other words, exposure to him wasn't about telling the whole truth about Islam, but only those choicest parts that overlook those tawdry events.  Forget the violent aspects, in other words, dealing with Muhammad's "conversion" to the beheadings of the Quraysh to 9-11 to Fort Hood, and only speak of the beauty, peace, and wonder of stepping back in time and living under the oppressive rule of someone who was nothing more than a vindictive and vengeful dictator.  After all, if the gullible should hear "the rest of the story," and Islam is truly "exposed," then people will run away (as they should).

After a few moments of tap-dancing around the question, I was challenged by the imam on what I wanted to have answered (which was kind of surprsing; wasn't he listening?).  Returning to Muhammad, I said lets talk about him and the beheadings; then we can go from there.  Instead of actually addressing the question a second time, accusations of misunderstanding, equivocations between Islam and Christianity, and just generally evading the questioned ensued.  That is until he quickly threw in at the end of his diatribe that Muhammad was simply justified in killing all those people.  Why?  Because they were planning to get free of him, and he took offense over their decision and plans to do it.  Unbelievable.  And he wanted to compare Muhammad with Jesus?  Wow.

Interestingly, right after the imam got done, one of the newbie student converts got up and proceeded to direct another question.  Except this time, it wasn't to the imam; it was directed at me!  What?  I'm an infidel, and you want to ask me a question?  I thought this was about exposing Islam?  You don't want to talk about how wonderful Muhammad was anymore?  Nevertheless, I welcomed the opportunity to answer the Islamic misconception that God died when Jesus was crucified.

Invited to the stage and taking the microphone at the stage, I explained to them that God did not die in the sense that most Modalist-thinking people believe that He did (simply because they have no clue beyond what Modalist has to say about the Trinity).  But, that Jesus, as the Son of God (which is a expression of deity) died as a human being, for human beings.  That it was because of his death and atonement that the Muslim could be free from his sins.  Otherwise, the Muslim was forced to try and atone for his own sins via his works, which he would never be able to accomplish.  Jesus' death was what God's grace was all about.

That short explanation sparked several more questions from other Muslims, which I answered, until the true spirit that drives Islam showed up.  The emcee of the meeting, feeling that answering Muslim questions was "argumentative" and causing a "debate" (neither of which was true), promptly came forward and took the mic away from me, and I was inhospitably invited to sit down.  In a way I felt like the reason why so many questions were forthcoming was because those individual Muslims were spiritually starved to death, and they wanted to hear the truth.  Yet, as amiable as I accepted their invitation to come forward, I amiably took my seat as well.

The meeting only lasted a few more minutes, after which I was met by three imams in the hallway who wanted to talk to me.  They were kind in their questions, but I really didn't have time to converse with them.  I had to meet a student who needed to take a make-up exam, and another student, who had sneakily come up to me during the meeting, needed some insight on how to help her father, who for whatever reason was caught up in a quasi-mixture of Buddhism and the occult.  So, I gave one of the imams my email address, and he gave me his.  We'll see where that goes.

These kinds of propaganda sessions are going on all over the country, and they need to be stopped.  The University of Alabama MSA is having a similar session on "Jesus in Islam," and given the misleading, if not downright deceitful, material that I collected at the MSA meeting at my campus, I can tell you that the Jesus of Christianity is not the Jesus of Islam.  But, the Muslims will try to make them both look alike, with the Jesus of Christianity eventually being denigrated, demeaned, and subordinated beneath who else?  That guy no one really wanted to "expose" at this meeting; the one who had the propensity to murder those he didn't like, because they wanted to get away from him.

Will these sessions come to end?  Time will only tell.  Student Services and the TV reporter who covered this bait-n-switch pitch for Islam have both been contacted.  Not only will copies of the material the Muslims were handing out at the door, along with an audio recording I made while the meeting was going on, be turned over and discussed with them.  Perhaps in the not to distant future, Islam—at least at this campus, and hopefully elsewhere—will finally be exposed for what it truly is: namely a false religion with a notoriously violent history which propagates doctrines that motivate people to fly planes into buildings, kill innocent Army officers and personnel on American bases, and dupe unwary college students on campuses like mine.

The President Doesn't Get Islam Either. Or Does He?

The other day I wrote about a local radio personality who didn't get it when it came to Islam, and yesterday our President spoke at the memorial in Fort Hood as if he doesn't get it either.

After doing a nice job paying tribute to the 13 who were massacred by Malik Nidal Hasan last week, Mr. Obama made the following comment, "no faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor. And for what he has done, we know that the killer will be met with justice - in this world, and in the next."

Really, Mr. Obama? "No faith justifies these murderous and craven acts"? What about Islam, Mr. President? You know, the religion that Mr. Hasan subscribes to, who murdered those 13 servicemen and women in cold blood. You see, Mr. President, not only does Islam justify such "murderous and craven acts," it actually condones and encourages them, particularly if such barbarism advances the perverseness of the religion itself.

In Reliance of the Traveller, which is viewed in the Muslim community as an authoritative text representing the scholarly views of Islam and Sharia Law, it tells us the following, which is nothing more than a quote from the Qur'an (9:29) and an objective of Jihad:
The caliph (o25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o11.4)—which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself—while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O:and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Days and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden—who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given a Book—until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9:29).
And how is the Muslim supposed to fight, Mr. President? Well, when Muhammad was doing it, he cut the infidels hands and feet off, leaving many to simply die in the hot Middle Eastern sun. Others he beheaded, personally, if he wasn't commanding his dupes to do the same. We know from history that Muhammad raided and plundered innocent caravans on the trade routes between Mecca and Egypt, Palestine, and the Middle East, oftentimes securing women, children, and property as "booty."

There is something very much amiss here, Mr. President. Because I really don't think you're a stupid man. You say that no faith warrants what Hasan did, but you were raised in a Muslim-like family, and you can't seem to remember any of the above in your upbringing? It leaves to wonder that amid all the honorable words you spoke about those who lost their lives if you weren't in one of three separate states of mind when you were speaking. You were either, and still are, in a state of ignorance, a state of denial, or a state of deceit.

Now, as I said, I don't think you're stupid, so pleading ignorance in your case just will not fly. You've known about Sharia Law and the Qur'anic declarations and Fatwas against those who fight against or resist Islamic advances from your childhood. So, what was quoted above has been etched in your memory banks from long ago, and is only novel to those unfamiliar with Islamic thought. So, let's just set that one aside.

If you were in a state of denial as you spoke, then you're a fool, and you continue to play everyone else for a fool by denying that the fundamental tenets and ideology behind Islam are what real Islam is all about. The "radicals" are the ones in rebellion against the murderous and craven acts, not those, like Hasan, who actively carry them out. And the longer you act like a fool, and play others to be fools, the greater the numbers we'll continue to add to the casualty list. Who knows, if you're not careful, one of these idiots just might take you out sometime and we'll add you to the list.

If you were in a state of deceit, Mr. President, then shame on you. You're supposed to uphold the Constitution of the United States when these kinds of ideologies threaten the welfare of our country. Yet, by continuously and covertly covering for Islam, you are actually undermining the Constitution and paving the way for those intent on destroying it. Moreover, the eulogies that you uttered were not only a mockery, but praises of victory done under your breath, in which case you're a traitor as well.

I'm sorry, Mr. President, but since you're not ignorant, then the only conclusion I can draw is that you were either denying the reality of Islam or you were attempting to deceive all of us about it yesterday. And in my book, that is not what we need in a leader to guide our country. We need someone who is a realist and has the guts to not only recognize the enemy for what it is, but then to do something substantive about it. Conversely, we don't need someone using his mouth to speak great swelling words one moment, while his heart is far, far away from us as he speaks.

I've said it before, so let me reiterate it again. True Islam is a threat. It is a threat to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, or the very things that we, as Americans, hold near and dear. If we don't wake up to that reality, and we keep letting people like Barak Obama lull us into either his state of denial or deceit, then Muhammad's true disciples (like Malik Nidal Hasan) are eventually going to be a position of control, and America will die as we know it.

There are several ways to circumvent the threat (I like what the Aussies have done by placing all the mosques under surveillance and then deporting the troublemakers), but sitting on our politically correct butts and opining about the wonders of multi-cuturalism and religious diversity will only lead to our demise. The choice is ours. What are you going to do about it?

The Media Still Doesn't Get Islam

Will the talking heads in the media ever get it straight when it comes to "radical Islam"?  For some strange reason, I doubt it.  Case in point.  This morning I'm listening to the radio after taking a shower, and on pops Rick Hadley of WBAP out of Dallas/Ft. Worth.  He's the News Director, and one would think that he would know better when it comes to such subjects, but such was not the case.

After giving his brief analysis of what took place at Fort Hood this past week, he slipped in a couple of misstatements about both Nidal Malik Hasan and Islam by stating that Hasan had somehow misrepresented Islam through his act of violence, given that Islam was a religion of peace.  First of all, Hasan did not misrepresent Islam, and second, Islam is not a religion of peace.  The latter never has been peaceful, nor will it ever be.

Islam from its inception has been about nothing but violence.  Muhammad was strangled into submission by what he thought was a demonic presence.  Then when he finally secured enough military strength, which he achieved by raiding caravans and killing off those who opposed him, he strove from Medina to Mecca and took it by force as well.  Not only were hundreds, if not thousands, beheaded along the way, Muhammad himself participated in much of carnage as Muslim historian Ibn Ishaq recorded in his Life of Muhammad:
"Then they surrendered, and the apostle confined them in Medina in the quarter of d. al-Harith, a woman of B. al-Najjar.  Then the apostle went out to the market of Medina (which is still its market today) and dug trenches in it.  Then he sent for them and struck off their heads in those trenches as they were brought out to him in batches.  Among them was the enemy of Allah Huyayy b. Aktab and Ka'b b. Asad their chief.  There were 600 or 700 in all, though some put the figure as high as 800 or 900.  As they were being taken out in batches to the apostle they asked Ka'b what he thought would be done with them.  He replied, 'Will you never understand?  Don't you see that the summoner never stops and those who are taken away do not return?  By Alah it is death!'  This went on until the apostle made an end of them.—A. Gulliame, The Life of Muhammad: A Translation of Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah (New York: Oxford, 1967), 150.
One thing that is particularly maddening and frustrating is that guys like Hadley will not listen.  All they keep doing is repeating the same rhetorical mantra of misguided misinformation.  Then when thugs like Hasan go on a rampage, he's somehow the one misrepresenting something that the Hadley's don't have a clue as to what they're talking about.  No, Mr. Hadley.  Hasan knew exactly what he was doing by following his prophet's lead.  In fact, it is commanded over and over and over again in both the Qur'an and in the Hadiths to do the very thing that Hasan carried out last Thursday (Sura 4:56, 74, 84, 91; 5:51; 8:38, 65, 67; 9:5; 12, 14-15, 70; 22:39; 47:4; 60:1; 98:6; Hadith 4.53, 271, 280, 386, 392).

Of course there are those nay-sayers who'll say, but the Qur'an talks about peace and that it is against Muslim belief to force its religion upon anyone.  That the only time murder, violence, and war take place is when the Muslim is offended.

Indeed, the Qur'an talks about peace, but only toward the front end of the book, which in historical perspective is early on in Muhammad's career when (1) he couldn't get anyone in Mecca to listen to his misguided rantings about being visited (more like abused into submission) by Gabriel, and (2) he was holed up in Medina, and didn't have the military firepower to strike back at the Meccans.  So, of course he spoke of peace.  Yet, from Surah 4 onward, things change in a hurry.  Muhammad was no longer interested in peace, but in conquest; vengeance, if you will.  And those who got in his way, died!

The fact is, real, true blue Islam is still all about conquest, and that by the sword if need be.  Only those Muslims who are in rebellion against Islams mandates are the "radicals."  And those who so much as reject the advance of the Islamic command to convert is assumed to be in offensive opposition to Islam, and is thus targeted for extermination or severe oppression.  In other words, refusal to convert is seen as a hostile act and is to be dealt with accordingly.

The only reason we don't see extermination and oppression being carried out in the United States today is because Sharia Law is not in effect, even it is gaining ground rapidly.  But, if guys like Hadley keep lying about Islam, especially in the media, you may rest assure that blood will begin to flow, much like in the days when Muhammad was personally butchering people by the hundreds, if not thousands.

It's time to wake up everyone.  The fundamental tenets and ideology of Islam are not what the CAIR's, the media, and even President Obama are making them out to be.  Islam is not about peace; it is about conquest, enslavement, and death.  Last Thursday we received another example of just how deadly it is.  Maybe before the next massacre takes place, the Rick Hadley's will finally figure that out and start broadcasting the truth about Islam, and not a distorted caricature which will only lead to more death and mayhem.

"God is dead…And we have killed him."

The sobering words of the eccentric philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche over 120 years ago in Europe are ever-becoming more true in America today.  "God is dead.  God remains dead.  And we have killed him."  Unfortunately, too many want to pretend otherwise, and then whine and complain about freedoms lost, immorality run amok, fiscal irresponsibility and fraud, or whatever happens to be the most sensational news item of the day.

It wasn't that Nietzsche actually believed that God was literally dead as a being.  What he meant was that by how humans tend to go about their lives, for all practical purposes, God was a irrelevant afterthought.  He didn't really exist anymore as a central figure in people's thought processes and planning.  People had become practical atheists.  Oh, allusions might be made to "a god" in a sensuous thrill of vague religiosity, but after the temporal orgasm of subjective spirituality had subsided, all that was left was an empty shell, a caricature if you will, of a being who had long since died due to neglect.  Europe today is now reaping the consequences of killing off God, and Western American countries are not far behind in reaping the same.

A sad, but telling, indication that Americans are slowly murdering God is through their addiction to politics as the panacea to everything.  If the politician isn't looked upon as the savior to provide jobs and social welfare, then he/she is lobbied to provide universal health care.  And if the politician isn't looked upon as the great physician, then he/she is lobbied to pass legislation to dictate what is proper religious speech and practice.

To makes things worse, day-after-day-after-day one cannot avoid being bombarded by the incessant, monotonous, and insipid political banter in the media.  Mindless automatons constantly fill the airwaves with enough disjointed rhetoric, theorizing, and blather to sicken the heartiest soul.  And why?  Because as J. P. Moreland once wrote, politics is the "surrogate for a Higher Power."  Since we, as a society, have collectively terminated any genuine relationship with that "Higher Power," then we have created a vacuum in our souls.  Man has become the measure of all things, in other words, and by severing our relationship with God, now man needs to find a replacement, and politics is that cheap substitute.

The problems, though, with relying on political chatter, minus God, to resolve anything are obvious.  There is absolutely zero objectivity in the decisions made, since everything revolves around almighty opinion.  There is endless bureaucracy, confusion, and mayhem due to the lack of a credible standard to measure the commentary.  Moreover, resources are wasted, corruption of moral values become the norm, and society itself begins to self-destruct in a free-for-all trying to make sense out of nonsense.

To make things worse, God's murderers fork over millions of dollars every year to keep the political talking heads chattering on the public airwaves, falsely assuming that if they can only get the right political figure elected into office, then that will cure all our problems.  Such an empty-headed self-delusion as that is as pathetic as saying that so long as a person doesn't hit the ground after jumping out of an airplane, then that person is flying.  Nevertheless, we often love our delusions to the point where we're willing to take a Kirkegaardian "leap of faith," even though we have no idea where we're leaping to, nor do we care.

Yes, God is dead…and we have killed him.  All that is left now is to bury him.  But, amid our delusion and pride, that isn't going to happen.  We'll just keep on ignoring his dead carcass, or maybe even prop it up as an idol to go along with the rest of the idols we've erected along the way, including politics.  And when our children, or children's children look back and see what we did to kill God, maybe by then they won't be as ashamed of Him as we currently are; they'll destroy the dead idols, and realize that God wasn't dead after all.  We were.  We just refused to admit it.

Entertaining Ourselves to Moral Solutions?

"Something has got to be done!"  Those were the conclusive words of my brother, Troy, as he spoke on the subject of the national debt this morning on his radio program, and the amount of fraud being perpetrated in the United States.  Yet, apart from the exclamation, any type of plan to get the job done to eradicate the national debt, fraud, deceit, immorality, and all the other character flaws that have come to be accepted as normal in America, was not forthcoming.  Why?  One would have to ask him.

I will posit, though, that one reason is due to the fragmented nature of the information be offered which hinted at the problems.  In other words, we're not getting "the rest of the story" when it comes to what appears to be a dire situation.  Hence we, as a country, are unable to provide a coherent solution to correct the problems.  "What can we do?" was a frequent question asked, which is normal given the lack of a complete picture of just what the problem is.  Ever try to fix a computer or leaky faucet with just a screwdriver?

You might be saying, "Wait a minute.  What do you mean we're getting fragmented information?  Didn't you just say that you heard your brother talking about all the fraud?"  Absolutely.  But, just stop and think about it.  Where did he get his information from?  Another news source; and in this case it was from the TV show 60 Minutes.

In fact, where he gets his information is typical of where all those doing talk radio or television get their information, whether it is Limbaugh, Hannity, or Beck, and that is from some news source, most of which is heavily edited or slanted, as well as packaged to make it interesting or entertaining to the listener or viewer.  Therefore, it is fragmented with the express goal of not providing a meaningful solution, but merely to provide higher ratings to draw in revenue.  That is not to say that the information is necessarily untrue or inaccurate, but simply that the bigger picture is missing.

It is because of the fragmented, entertainment driven society in which we live that nothing is going to get done to correct any kind of pervasive fiscal fraud and political deceit, until we realize that we are doing as Neil Postman aptly titled his book years ago, Amusing Ourselves to Death.  We're going to keep right on spending ourselves into oblivion, deceiving ourselves until we're numb, cheating ourselves of the best things in life, and sacrificing our liberties to those who know that an overdose of amusement eventuates in mindless servitude and death.  And in this case, death of a country.

Yes, something needs to be done, but merely talking about the symptoms in a fragmented fashion without addressing the cause of the problems is not going to fix anything.  All that is going to do is perpetuate more frustration, hopelessness, and despair, as well as mislead people into believing that talking about the symptoms in an incoherent setting is going to resolve the issues.

What needs to be done, at least on the radio and TV level, is for people to start treating radio and television for the amusement media that they are.  Radio and television are not designed for serious intellectual thought, they never have been, nor can they ever be.  They are for amusement, and amusement by its very nature is intended to prevent logical, coherent, meaningful thought.  Moreover, if something is not amusing on television or radio, then you may rest assure that it will not be long until the mundane program is pulled or canceled.

Then when it is concluded that radio and television are for entertainment, particularly when it comes to addressing societal ills, then they need to be shut off.  There are much better sources available to address whatever it is that is prompting a citizen to act than sitting around listening to 45 second sound bites which give only partial contexts that are often unrelated, whether it is between stories or the commercials which fund the incoherency.

Bro, you're right: "something needs to be done!"  But, even you've admitted that you never have enough time to address everything that you would like.  That is by design, since the television and radio media is not about taking the proper amount time to thoughtfully work through any problem to a solution.  It is about amusement and money; the former of which is killing us as a society, and the latter of which is driving many to commit fraud.  And it is only when we at least recognize those two realities that something will begin to get done, even though we will still have a long way to go to dig ourselves out of a moral mess that for the longest time we have found entertaining.

Obama: Prince of World Peace or Prelude to World War

Okay, let me see if I can get this straight. Last night I go to bed and the U.S. military needs an additional 40,000 troops in Afghanistan to fight the Islamic thugs, but the U.S. president can't make up his mind whether he wants to believe his general on the ground. The U.S. health care system is under assault by extreme left-wing socialists, also led by the same U.S. president, with a majority of the American populace sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to have the screws put to them. And finally, as already noted previously, youth violence is on the rise, and we have a U.S. president that is "committed" to ensuring that all the gang bangers and drug pushers receive a "powerful message" to make them quit it, otherwise he's going to tell on them.

Now, this morning, I wake up and this same U.S president, who has shown great prowess in campaigning and speech-making, but little to nothing of positive substance to actually do anything to be a leader, is a Nobel Peace Prize winner. What? Why? From one news source the U.S. president wins the grand booby prize for three reasons: "encourage his nascent initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and replace unilateral American action with international diplomacy and cooperation." So, what does this really mean?

Encourage his nascent initiatives to reduce nuclear arms really means nothing more than weaken the U.S. resolve when socialist regimes want to indiscriminately throw their weight around. That way we can all be one big happy world, with one big world government, while we all exalt the big wonderful world ruler. Who knows? maybe the Nobel Prize winner will be nominated for that too!

Ease tensions with the Muslim world merely means to kow-tow to Muslim demands. One doesn't want to make the militant Jihadist angry, because when he gets angry, he starts blowing things up. And we, in our ever-growing civilized, rational, and sensitive society of humanists and rationalists can't stoop to the level of actually meeting anger with strength. We must bow to the Jihadist wishes by holding a "dialogue" with him to try and understand him, and he us, as if the past 14 centuries of Islamic history, conquest, and tyranny haven't given anyone in their right mind a crystal clear picture of just exactly what the Muslim goal and mindset are all about.

Finally, "replace unilateral American action with international diplomacy and cooperation" simply means, we want you to forget 9-11, and quit acting on your own. Again, you're not a sovereign nation anymore. And just because the U.S. was attacked on its own soil that tragic day, and lost over 3,000 citizens through the attack, doesn't mean that the U.S. should defend itself without world permission. We realize that as an international community, we don't have the guts to really get involved and solve anything, but that doesn't mean the the U.S. should even try on its own either.

This whole Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Barack Obama is a joke, is meaningless, and is typical of the blithering nonsense that has become a part of modern-day parlance. In fact, I would say it is indicative of the intellectual, moral, and spiritual vacuity that has become characteristic of the human soul that has gone seriously awry. Humanity has become so desperate to find meaning and answers to an otherwise meaningless existence that it will prop up any idol and then bow down to it, regardless of who it is. One has to wonder just how much more desperate the world will become before it starts to laud the savior Obama, not just as U.S president, nor as the Prince of Peace, but as Almighty God himself.

Clearly we are living in dangerous times. Not just because a few one-world elitists want to honor an empty suit with a meaningless award; not because the Muslims wants to dominate the world through militant Jihad; and certainly not because a bunch of socialist ideologues want to strip the U.S. of its sovereign identity. We're living in dangerous times because many know what is right, but don't have the mental acumen, spiritual conviction, or moral backbone to stand up and defend what is right. Shame on us for we are getting exactly what our ignorance, shallowness, and cowardice have bought us. We have sown the wind, and now we're reaping the whirlwind. With Obama now seen as the exalted man of world peace, one has to wonder if we're not on the precipice of world war. But, then maybe that will be the not-so-surprising surprise that I'll wake up to tomorrow morning.

Political Non-Response Reflects "American Problem"

Okay, so one day after the hubbub over the angry students in America, which started by spotlighting the death of the Chicago High School student last week, comes to the stage a couple of Washington politicians to give us their two cents worth on how much the government cares.  All of the sudden I'm feeling so much better.  But, isn't that what liberal government is all about?  Making one feel better, even though the feeling lacks in substance?  Taming our children by those who are a contributing factor to their anger in the first place just makes sense, doesn't it?  Hardly.

Apparently Obama and friends could not resist the temptation to let everyone know that youth violence was an "American Problem," and not just a Chicago problem.  As if that is really some kind of profound revelation, given that since the federal government kicked God out of the schools years ago and introduced its own religious ideals based on secular humanistic values.  Of course violence among youth is an "American Problem."  What is one to expect?  Besides, if we keep on traversing the same self-refuting humanistic trek, it will be another country's problem, because there will not be an America left.  Nevertheless, I digress.

Eric Holder, one of Obama's henchmen (U.S. Attorney General) told everyone at a cameo gathering, the president is "firmly committed to this issue."  That there will be a "sustained national effort" to address youth violence.  Great!  Excellent!  Wonderful!  And what exactly does that mean in the real world?  Absolutely nothing.  Why?  Because for any kind of resolution to take place involves a self-admittance that federal government was wrong in its policies to begin with which helped to foster a climate of youth violence.

It was wrong to secularize our schools, while denying the religious heritage upon which they were founded.  It was wrong to bow to the self-refuting minority who whined about having their juvenile delinquents spanked in school.  It was wrong to revise curriculum which robbed students of the opportunity to develop not only intellectual acuity, but practical vocational skills to be used in the workforce.  The list is virtually endless of what the "caring" government and liberally-minded elite will have to admit to, if they are "firmly committed" to resolving youth violence.  Yet, admission, confession, and repentance are not in those types of people's vocabulary, so we may rest assure that more children will be taking out their aggression on whoever happens to get in the way at any given moment.

"Their presence here today sends a very powerful message to the gang bangers and dope dealers that we will not tolerate their violent way of life,” said Chicago mayor, Richard Daly. “We look forward to working more closely with the federal government to protect all of our children."  And just what "very power message" was sent to the gang bangers and dope dealers?  "Now, little Johnny, put down that board.  Just because you're an animal, and we've taught you that you're life amounts to zero, it doesn't mean that you have to kill that ________ (you fill in the blank: teacher, school administrator, fellow student, police officer, parent, etc.)."  And when little Johnny asks why not?, and the best response is, "Because Obama is committed," then the victim's relatives can start searching for a casket to bury their loved one, while the gang banger offers a "very powerful" laugh at Mr. Daly's and Mr. Obama's "very powerful message."

As noted before, until America returns to a biblically based worldview, where there is an objective reason to educate the youth to be better humans, challenge the youth to strive for excellence, and assure the youth that there is more life than merely repeating the same pointless repetitions that their parents and many adults have adopted to rationalize their otherwise empty selves, then the Obamas, Holders, and Dalys can pontificate all they want about just how much they're committed or how much they care, and the youth are going to keep right on doing drugs, having illicit sex, and killing each other.

In the words, the children are going to keep on living out the contradictory, vacuous, and meaningless words and intentions of those who say they care, but don't have the guts to really admit that they don't, nor have an objective reason to.  Who knows?  Maybe by this same time next year we'll have 75% of our kids assaulted, molested, or murdered, instead of just 60%.

Are kids Angrier?

A little over a week ago a riot broke out in a Chicago area school, with the result that 16 year-old student was beaten to death.  In a Reuter's article the search is on to try and discover the "root" for not only the teen's death, but for violence in the U.S. in general.  Yet, neither the death, nor the violence is what piqued my interest when I read through the article.  The question, "Are kids angrier?" did.

Are kids angrier than they used to be?  If so, why?  Speculation coming from the article suggests that Yes; kids are angrier.  The reasons?  Violence at home.  Violence on streets.  Money woes.  Even video games are given some of the credit for making kids more angry and violent than years ago.  But, since the article is talking about root causes, are those really adequate explanations of why a High School kid would take a wooden board and whack a 16 year-old in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground, and then have several other students stomp him to death?  I don't think so.

Imagine a culture where for fifteen to twenty years of life children have it ingrained in them that there is no real purpose in life.  That when their 70 or 80 years are lived, the best they can hope for is nothing.

Imagine that same culture inculcating into its children that they are nothing more than accidents of nature, and in fact, are nothing more than higher level animals.  That survival of the fittest and natural selection are the only reasons they're still alive, and that in order to succeed in life one must adopt a "dog eat dog" mentality.

Imagine a culture of children who are taught relativistic principles concerning right and wrong, truth and error, moral and immoral, from the time when they're barely able to tie their shoes until the time they're about to marry.  Where "judge not that ye be not judged" is the perverse mantra of the day used by those who have no idea just how self-refuting such a perversion truly is.

Imagine that same culture of children who have grown up watching moms and dads live hypocritical lives, and listen to quasi-Christian ministers preach and teach empty, shallow, narcissistic sermons and lessons.  Where Christian moms and dads put on an air of religiosity on Sunday, but Monday through Saturday moms and dads indulge themselves with the finest things the world has to offer, including legalized gambling (the Lottery), watching television (the average person will spend 12 continuous years sitting and watching TV in his/her lifetime), and soft or hardcore pornography (50% of Christian men and 20% of Christian women are addicted to pornography).

Finally, imagine a culture of children who are inundated daily by fragmented information, whether on their black berries, television, YouTube, or whatever, which is delivered with the underlying premise that unless it's entertaining, then it just isn't worth considering.  Where the quiet contemplative life is replaced by the next text message, the iTune download, or the latest Taylor Swift video.

The fact is kids are angrier, not because they're any more poor than they used to be.  They're not any more angrier because of video games.  In fact, they're not any more angrier because mom and dad are.  Kids are angrier because they've been sold a faulty bill of goods in the form of irresponsible, fallacious, self-centered living by dopey parents and educators, and the children are rebelling against it.

I've often said that many of our children are smarter than the adults simply because they can spot a fraud much easier than the adults can, and many times the children don't even know they're doing it.  How is that possible?  By how the children emulate the adults, including their parents.  The exception is that through sheer innocence of a fallen nature, many of those children carry out the fraud to its logical conclusion, with the unfortunate result being that some of those same children don't live long enough to tell about it.

Children, in other words, inherently know there is something wrong when moms and dads don't know when to tell the children No!  Children inherently know that there is something wrong with the "If it feels good, do it" mentality.  Children know there is something wrong when they're told that they're nothing more than an evolved monkey.  And that knowledge festers to a boiling point, where finally the child erupts in self-defense against all the irrationality, lies, and distortions.  Sometimes it's self-destructive; at other times others are destroyed, whether it be a friend, family member (mom, dad, or both), or a complete rank stranger.  One report is that the 16 year-old Chicago student was killed by friend.

So, are kids angrier?  Absolutely.  Do they have a right to be angrier?  Again, absolutely.  Wouldn't you, if you had been told a pack of lies for fifteen to twenty years of your life?  Does this mean that one should condone their expression of anger?  Not necessarily, but it is certainly understandable.  What can be done about it?  According to the Reuter's article, join a gang and go to prison, which I think is totally preposterous.  In fact, it is that type of mentality that is helping to fuel the anger.

The solution is to change the worldview of those teaching our children, both parents and educators.  But that isn't going to happen until a majority of real genuine Christians get off their dead lead butts and change their worldview to make it more consistent with what they claim to be.  And since that isn't likely to happen anytime soon, then we're destined to see more of what happened in Chicago a week ago, in Tyler, Texas before that, and at Columbine in Colorado several years ago.
